Scientific research is one of the priority activities of KMU. The traditions of scientific schools make it possible to effectively combine fundamental and applied scientific research. The university produces an intellectual product of international level.

KMU scientific research on trending areas of medical science is paving the way for clinical medicine.

We are studying:

  • bacterial translocation in various diseases;
  • students' literacy in health issues, as well as research in the field of medical education.

We are developing:

  • innovative molecular technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of children;
  • new medicines with antitumor, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and other effects;

We create:

  • IT platforms for integrated training and control of surgical competencies.

The University staff actively participates in international multicenter clinical and preclinical trials of medicines.

By profession: "Medicine and Nursing Science", "Public Health" and "Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Production Technology" we have 3 dissertation councils. More than 10 doctoral students are defended annually. This increases the research potential of the state, and highly qualified personnel are being formed for universities and research centers."
