The meeting was attended by Bakhyt Nurgaliyevna Kosherova, Chairman of the Board – Rector of "Karaganda Medical University" NCJSC; Zhaniya Abayevna Dauletkaliyeva, Vice-Rector for Academic and Social Work; program directors; and the Dean of the School of Residency and Professional Development.
During the meeting, the residents were introduced to the organization of the educational process, features of education, and key areas of their upcoming training. First-year residents also had the opportunity to ask questions and meet the university leadership.



This year, 2,073 applications were submitted through the Digital Residency Platform. Following the competitive selection process, 497 residents were enrolled, representing approximately 24% of the total number of applicants.
Among those admitted: Karaganda Medical University graduates make up 60.9%; Astana Medical University — 17.1%; Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov— 4.8%; West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov— 3.8%; Kokshetau University named after Shokan Ualikhanov — 3.6; Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University — 3.4%; Kazakh-Russian Medical University — 2.6%.



The first-year residents also includes graduates from Semey Medical University, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, North Kazakhstan Kozybayev University, and other higher education institutions across the country.
